Vellor was created from a simple belief: that the things we live with should get better over time.

For Mark, our founder, that idea has been taking shape for more than thirty years. Having started his career in clothing before moving into leather goods, he discovered early on what makes leather so special. “It improves with age like no other product,” he says. “The longer you have it, the better it looks and the better it feels.”

That appreciation for longevity and craftsmanship sits at the heart of Vellor. The brand was born from Mark’s desire to create a collection of leather homewares; timeless pieces made to be used and loved every day. “Vellor is a complete collection,” he explains. “Each piece is crafted from a single beautiful material. It is leather done properly.”

Every item is made from vegetable-tanned leather, produced using natural plant extracts in the tanning process, without the use of harsh chromium sulphates. It’s the age-old traditional way to tan leather.

For Mark, good design isn’t about trends. It’s about creating pieces that last; things you can live with for decades, that only grow more beautiful with time. “Leather is timeless,” he says. “You’re buying it forever.”

Most days, Mark’s loyal dog and steady companion, Charlie, isn’t far from him. Around the office, he’s part of Vellor’s everyday life, wandering between desks, sitting in on meetings, or napping nearby as new ideas take shape.
